A Morning in the Life: Choir Kid

5a.m: Warm- Up
E, Eh, Ah, Oh, OOO in a cycle of five rounds until the voice is nice and warm. Maybe add some sirens in there for pleasure.

5:05a.m: Shower and Practice
Blast the All-State Music on the boom box next to the sink while showering. Dangerous? Not at the cost of making the All-State choir.

5:45a.m: Open the Sinuses
Sit in the shower while the steam is still circling in the restroom to open the sinuses, should be able to hit a high C at this point.

6a.m: Breakfast
Put some water in the kettle for hot decaffinated tea. Must keep the vocal chords hydrated. Ew. No cheese, no milk, no sodas. That would be a sin.

6:45a.m: Leaving the House
Okay I have my choir binder, sight reading book, school materials but honestly who really needs them.. Car keys, extra tea, and OH! I can't forget my scarf. I don't care if it's 80 degrees outside my voice will stay nice and warm.

7:10a.m: Getting to School
Why do I have to walk across the street? That's just a recepie for disaster. Okay, I made it without getting ran over. "Morning Mr.Bell!". Good thing I don't smoke like that kid who just got caught.. I have a full 15 years ahead of me, and I don't want the smoke to decrease my years on stage.

7:15a.m: Choir Room
"Gooooodmooorning" Oh Glo, why are you so happy in the morning? I'm just here to get the gold. I mean the All-State CD. I have to get 1st chair, that is the only thing I need in life. That will make my life. Motzart, Brahms, Tehmming. I have to engrave all their creations in my heart.

8:15a.m: Sightreading
A good hour of practice to start my day at school, not bad. I could do some more, but sightreading school is in session. Do-Mi-So-Mi-Do-So-Do. 20% of my audition depends on these insignificant syllables, so might as well take advantage of the time i have.

8:25a.m: Tutoring
So I only have 30 minutes to do my homework cause when I get home all I will do is practice some more.
